MSG Grants

Transform with confidence through guided digital mentorship

Overview

The Mentorship Support Grant (MSG) is a SkillsFuture Singapore initiative designed to help local enterprises strengthen their capabilities, transform their operations, and upskill their workforce through hands-on mentorship, consultancy, and workplace-based training. By co-funding projects that focus on process optimisation, digital transformation, job redesign, and capability development, MSG enables companies to access expert guidance at a reduced cost and achieve meaningful, measurable improvements in productivity and business performance.

To be eligible, your company must be registered and operating in Singapore, with at least 10 employees. For SMEs: you can apply for the $30,000 grant quantum and receive up to 90% subsidy (you pay minimum $3,000 SGD). For MNCs: up to 70% subsidy (you pay minimum $9,000 SGD).

The MSG supports projects such as process improvement, workflow optimisation, operational excellence; digital transformation including AI integration and Industry 4.0; workplace skills upgrading and capability development; job-role redesign for productivity and efficiency.

The application process involves: establishing or verifying a Company Training Committee (CTC); developing a transformation roadmap; securing approval from your CTC; submitting the application online via the appropriate portal; upon approval, you receive a Letter of Award (LOA); then carry out the project and submit claims within four weeks of project completion. The programme emphasises that approval times can be less than 2 months, which is significantly faster than some other grants.

Yes. Projects under MSG must be completed within 6 months, so scopes must be tight and realistic. Outcomes must be measurable (not simply generic training). Applicant must be registered in Singapore and ensure co-funding (i.e., the grant does not cover 100% of costs). Also, a company may have a cap of 3 projects under the programme.

No. The MSG is designed to support digital transformation mentorship/implementation-led training rather than ongoing maintenance. However, if your project involves a major digital revamp (e.g., generative AI integration, omni-channel marketing or significant new business functions) then it can qualify.
