You can get grants from our Singapore government to offset your IT/Web development cost. Depending on the nature of the project and your industry, there are different grants. Always check out on IDA's, SPRING's or MDA's website for latest information. One of the most common grant merchants applied for is LETAS (Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme). It is a grant for Singapore-based SMEs to hire external experts to improve their management and operations. With the Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme, merchants can get a grant to engage an external consultant to implement quality management and IT systems. Project examples include ISO certification, Website development and upgrading computer systems. Application process for LETAS may take 1 month. Criterias registered or incorporated in Singapore (you can be a sole-proprietor, partnership or company) > 30% of your shareholding is local your company’s group fixed assets are worth < $15 million< 200 employees LETAS subsidises up to 50% of the costs of developement and consultation. It does not cover hardware (server, PC), maintenance, certification (e.g. TRUST SG Seal) and domain & hosting cost are not covered as well. The grant is subjected to a maximum grant cap of $5,000 or 50% of consultancy cost (whichever is lower). Claim must be received within 6 months from the scheduled completion date of the assignment.
